Dr. Dre’s former psychiatrist has continued to speak his truth and is standing by it, at least according to his new motion against the music mogul.
Dr. Charles J Sophy claimed his former client intimidated him through various means while he worked with him to sort out his divorce settlement.
The psychiatrist previously filed a temporary restraining order against Dr. Dre over threatening text messages. Dre denied the allegations and called the $10 million lawsuit a racist attack.
Dr. Sophy filed a new declaration presented to the Los Angeles Superior Court on March 14. In the document, he outlined the distress he claimed to have suffered due to alleged threats made by the hip-hop mogul.
Dr. Sophy was initially brought on to assist in the divorce proceedings between Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, and his ex-wife, Nicole Young, to help them reach a settlement.
The psychiatrist described the emotional distress he believes he experienced due to actions attributed to Dre, who he claims sent fake FBI agents to his gated community to intimidate him.
Per In Touch, the medical practitioner emphasized that these incidents have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty around him.
Dr. Sophy Admitted To Installing Sophisticated Security Systems In His Home Due To The Threats.
Dr. Sophy expressed deep concern for his safety following several alarming incidents involving Dre.
He indicated that Dre’s unlawful behavior and the relentless harassing text messages he received over a seven-month period have compelled him to take significant security precautions, driven by fear for his life.
These measures include installing advanced security cameras at his home, hiring private security personnel for constant protection, and even wearing a bulletproof cap and vest when outside.
