The reality star and mogul told People that she filed for divorce on Nov. 21 and that the decision followed learning Tucker had been “talking to other women behind her back,” an insider said. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, who shares son Ace, 9, and daughter Blaze, 6, with Tucker, is asking for privacy as she navigates the aftermath.

In the wake of the announcement, Burruss addressed fans on an Amazon Live, admitting the emotional toll of the situation, “I’m going to be very honest with you. I am up and down,” she said, adding candidly, “I’m all over the place.” She also acknowledged the difficulty of the moment while emphasizing family first: “Sometimes things just don’t work out. It just is what it is.”

Sources told People that the split had been “brewing for a while,” and that Burruss was blindsided upon discovering Tucker’s alleged communications with other women. A representative for Burruss did not comment to People, and Tucker did not respond to requests for comment. Despite the breakup, the couple spent Thanksgiving together as a family shortly after Blaze’s 6th birthday, showing the two are amicable and can co-parent peacefully.

Burruss said the separation is a step toward protecting her peace and pouring into her work and children. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” she told People, asking for privacy, grace, and understanding as the family transitions.
