Bruno Mars has a lot going on at the moment. His brand-new single “Apt.,” a collaboration with Blackpink singer Rosé, opens at No. 1 on both of Billboard’s global charts this week. The track replaces Mars’ other current win, “Die with a Smile,” which gave him and Lady Gaga a worldwide champion just a short time ago.

As he rules the two lists with a pair of smashes, several of Mars’ older cuts find space on the tallies as well. One of his oft-overlooked singles even manages to debut on one of the two charts, more than a decade after it was first released.

“Treasure” reaches the Billboard Global Excl. US for the first time this week. The song opens at No. 186 on the 200-spot list of the most-consumed tracks throughout the world…only with all sales and streaming data from America removed. The tally shows what the rest of the planet, minus the U.S., is consuming when it comes to songs.

Mars has now sent 16 tunes to the Billboard Global Excl. US throughout his career. Much of his most successful output predates the list, which was introduced in 2020 alongside the Billboard Global 200—though some of those cuts have found their way to the rankings. That includes “Treasure,” which has earned a late-in-life appearance.

“Treasure” was officially released as a single in mid-2013, as Mars was deep into promoting his album Unorthodox Jukebox. At that point, the CD had already produced the huge wins “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man,” which both topped the Hot 100.

Mars’ third single from that hugely successful album would come close to adding to his total number of leaders on the Hot 100, but it didn’t quite conquer the ranking. “Treasure” peaked at No. 5, and it would be the final top 10 from the Unorthodox Jukebox era.

“Treasure” is one of nine songs by Mars that appear on the Billboard Global Excl. US this week, and it’s the lowest-ranking of the bunch. In addition to his top two smashes, “Apt.” and “Die with a Smile,” his singles “Just the Way You Are,” “That’s What I Like,” and “Uptown Funk” with Mark Ronson, among others, are also present.
