Travis Scott is facing possible legal action for allegedly tossing a fan’s phone while he was filming his guest DJ set at a New York City nightclub earlier this week.
TMZ obtained footage of the phone-throwing incident, which took place at Club Nebula on Tuesday night (February 28).
The video shows La Flame behind the DJ booth getting upset that the phone was in his face and then reaching out to snatch the device and seemingly throwing it away. The victim claims the phone hit him in the head, cracking his screen.
The victim also says Nebula offered his table a free bottle, but he refused. The man is apparently lawyered up and” plans to file both a police report and civil lawsuit.”
This was minutes before Travis Scott’s erratic behavior continued when he allegedly assaulted a sound engineer at Nebula who was attempting to lower the volume of the sound system while Scott was DJing
Footage later surfaced documenting the moments before the alleged attack. La Flame can be heard telling the man: “Back the fuck up!” while pushing him out of the way.
According to Page Six, Travis had the volume too loud, causing a distorted sound, and the sound engineer attempted to fix the issue before the rapper yelled at him.
An eyewitness said Travis Scott then went to the engineer and began “yelling aggressively in his face on why he lowered the sound. Then he smacks [ed] the soundman right across the face.”
Following the incident, the alleged victim was taken to the hospital and recalled the events in an interview with FOX 5 NY.
“I was trying to tell him to lower [the volume] so it sounded good for the performance, but he just stuck his middle finger in my face,” he said from a hospital bed. “So I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him, and that’s when he ran around the speaker and attacked me.”
