Offset is making it clear that he is supporting Cardi B as she prepares to release her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama? The rapper spoke to TMZ outside Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday (Sept. 9), where he addressed both of their new projects and the idea of whether there is competition between them. When asked if their children could one day see both parents nominated for Album of the Year, Offset responded quickly, saying, “For sure.”

The Atlanta rapper also pushed back against the suggestion that his new album could go head-to-head with Cardi’s. “Never, never. Nah, nah, nah, I just want all peace, man, for us to win, everybody gotta win. We got kids to take care of, we got to catch the dubs,” he said. Offset added that he fully supports her upcoming release, calling it “hard” and adding, “She gon’ do her big one, too.”

Cardi B is scheduled to release Am I The Drama? on Sept. 19, her first full-length project in seven years. The album rollout has already included singles “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz,” along with a visual for the latter. The project comes at a significant time for the Bronx rapper, who filed for divorce from Offset for the second time in July 2024 while also announcing her third pregnancy with him. Their daughter Blossom was born that September.

Offset is currently promoting KIARI, his third solo studio album named after his legal first name. He told TMZ the project allowed him to be more open with fans, saying, “It was an album that meant a lot to me, after my name, you know what I mean? And just me being personable, me being vulnerable about life, and people like it… and that’s a blessing, man.” The album includes features from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, YFN Lucci, Gunna, JID, Key Glock, Teezo Touchdown, John Legend, and Ty Dolla $ign. The deluxe version adds collaborations with CeeLo Green and BNYX.
