With a new streaming milestone, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has officially surpassed 3 billion streams across all credits on Spotify, propelling her into the club of Nigerian artists who have achieved this milestone.

Here are the other Nigerians who’ve cleared the 3 billion mark:

  • Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid)

Wizkid currently leads the list as the most-streamed African artist on Spotify, with over 9 billion streams across all credits. He became the first African to cross the 9 billion threshold, solidifying his position at the top of the Afrobeats streaming charts.

  • Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy)

Burna Boy has amassed 8.5 billion+ total streams on Spotify. His deep catalogue of hits, ranging from African Giant to Love, Damini has driven sustained global listening.

  •  Divine Ikubor (Rema)

Rema’s Rave & Roses and his prolific features helped push him past 3 billion streams, making him one of the fastest rising stars to reach that milestone. His success has been closely tied to the global hit “Calm Down.”

  • Temilade Openiyi (Tems)

Tems has also joined the 3 billion+ club. While her solo output is leaner, her features and global collaborations helped her cross the threshold. She is the first female Nigerian artist to reach this milestone.

  • David Adeleke (Davido)

Davido has long been a streaming powerhouse. He is commonly cited among the group of Nigerians with at least 3 billion across platforms, with Spotify making up a significant chunk.

Ayra Starr’s inclusion in this list is remarkable, especially given her youth and the relatively shorter span of her career compared to her peers.
