World-renowned YouTube creator Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, has married his longtime partner, Thea Booysen, in a private ceremony held on Richard Branson’s exclusive Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
The 28-year-old internet personality shared the news with fans through a joint Instagram post, announcing that he had “found MrsBeast.”
The post featured photographs from the ceremony, showing the newlyweds dressed in elegant white attire.
Donaldson, who is the world’s most-followed YouTube creator with more than 500 million subscribers across his channels, became engaged to Booysen on Christmas Day in 2024 after proposing during a festive celebration while the pair wore matching MrBeast-themed Christmas sweaters.
Despite his reputation for extravagant online productions, Donaldson had previously revealed that he preferred a quiet and personal engagement and wedding, telling People magazine that he wanted the occasion to remain intimate and away from the spotlight.
Wedding photographs showed Booysen wearing a full-length lace bridal gown decorated with floral designs, while the groom chose a classic white tuxedo.
Throughout the celebrations, the bride changed into several additional outfits, including a sparkling white mini dress with a feathered skirt for the cake-cutting ceremony and a satin off-the-shoulder gown for the evening festivities.
Reflecting on the occasion, Donaldson described the celebration as the happiest day of his life.
MrBeast rose to global prominence by producing large-scale YouTube videos featuring elaborate challenges, charitable giveaways and competitions in which participants compete for substantial cash prizes.
His unique content has helped him become one of the most influential digital creators worldwide.
He also expanded into television through Beast Games, a reality competition series produced for Prime Video.
Inspired by Netflix’s Squid Game, the programme features contestants competing in a series of challenges for a grand prize worth five million dollars.
Booysen, a South African content creator, has established her own online following through her YouTube channel, TheaBeasty, which has attracted nearly 140,000 subscribers.
In addition to creating gaming content on Twitch, she is also a published author.
Although Donaldson’s online success has earned him worldwide recognition, it has also been accompanied by legal and public scrutiny.
Earlier this year, his company, Beast Industries, faced a lawsuit from a former employee alleging workplace gender discrimination and sexual harassment.
Separately, contestants from Beast Games have taken legal action over their treatment during production, while critics have also questioned the authenticity of some of MrBeast’s high-profile giveaways and challenge videos, alleging that certain competitions were carefully planned rather than spontaneous.
