The firm’s papers allege “irreconcilable differences” over how the case should be handled. The filing says counsel and Minaj “have been unable to align on litigation strategy.” Moreover, that the attorney-client relationship has “irretrievably broken down.” And that there has been “a breakdown in communication.” The firm argues those problems made effective representation “unreasonably difficult.” They also asked to share more detail with the judge in private if needed.

The suit itself is not new. 24/7 Productions sued Minaj and Pink Friday Productions in March over work tied to her December 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball shows in Chicago and Atlanta. In addition, court filings cited by AllHipHop include a Langham New York bill of $103,730 and a Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale stay of $25,197.85. HNHH previously covered those hotel receipts when they hit the public file.
Minaj’s side has disputed the debt and her personal liability. In a July 31 filing, Pink Friday Productions said it had paid what was owed. Her lawyers have argued the hospitality costs were approved. They also said that membership in the LLC alone does not make her personally responsible.
Furthermore, they accused 24/7 of painting her as a “spoiled and entitled rap star” instead of sticking to the contract fight. The firm is asking the court for a stay so replacement counsel can step in if withdrawal is allowed.
