Monaleo has canceled her scheduled performances in Memphis and New Orleans due to a serious medical issue that required emergency attention earlier this week. The announcement came via her social media, where she explained that she must prioritize her health and recovery before continuing the rest of her Who Did the Body tour.

Monaleo expressed disappointment at letting fans down but emphasized the importance of following her doctors’ guidance. She has completed 25 shows on the tour so far, giving full effort at each performance, and she described her approach to the remaining dates as a “day-by-day process” while focusing on healing. Fans were reassured that refunds for the canceled shows would be available.

Monaleo revealed the medical reason behind the cancellations, explaining that she underwent emergency surgery after an inflamed cyst caused abdominal bleeding. The procedure resulted in the removal of an ovary and a fallopian tube, and she remained hospitalized in Memphis for recovery. She stressed the importance of listening to one’s body and not ignoring warning signs, acknowledging that the situation could have been much more severe if left untreated. Despite her usual reluctance to visit emergency rooms, Monaleo highlighted that serious health concerns cannot be postponed. She also noted that she only cancels performances when the issue is critical, showing her commitment to her fans and tour obligations.

Looking ahead, Monaleo is scheduled to resume the tour on March 6 at the House of Blues in Houston. She has 11 remaining shows, concluding with a performance in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 21. The tour supports her sophomore studio album, Who Did the Body, which was released in October. The tour has been a significant undertaking, demonstrating her dedication to promoting her latest work while maintaining high-energy performances. Despite the recent health setback, Monaleo’s focus remains on completing the tour safely and responsibly.

Following the Who Did the Body tour, Monaleo plans to join Summer Walker on her Still Finally Over It tour next month. This will allow her to reach additional audiences and continue promoting her music while gaining performance experience on larger stages. Fans can expect her to return with renewed energy after her recovery. The recent medical scare highlights the physical demands of touring and the importance of artists maintaining their well-being. Monaleo’s transparency about her condition and careful approach to performing set a clear example for prioritizing health while managing a demanding career.
