Rihanna, a billionaire and global superstar, may still experience moments of uncertainty, even at the top.
“Anything that you’re creating, you get to a point where you’re like, ‘Okay, we’re about to go for it. Is it good enough?’” she admitted during an appearance on “The Couch by Lena Situations.”
The Barbados-born mogul explained that when doubt creeps in, she steps away to regain perspective.
“I step away and come back with fresh eyes and fresh ears so I can reappreciate it for what it is,” she said.
That ability to pause and reset has guided Rihanna through her most successful ventures, including her groundbreaking beauty empire. Luxury conglomerate LVMH is exploring the sale of its 50% stake in Fenty Beauty, the cosmetics powerhouse she co-founded in 2017, according to a report by BET.com.
The company, launched under LVMH’s Kendo Brands incubator, reportedly generated $450 million in net sales last year, with the brand now valued between $1 billion and $2 billion.
Even with that level of success, the “Work” singer revealed that creative doubt never fully disappears.
“When I make my albums, I get to a point where I think, ‘Wow, I’ve lived with it for so long, I know it works, but now I’m about to give it to the world. Is it right yet?’” she shared.
Beyond her work, the entrepreneur has also been reflecting on her personal relationship with beauty.
