The Grammy-nominated rapper and producer set a new benchmark for live music in India with his back-to-back CIRCUS MAXIMUS shows at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, drawing more than 125,000 fans across two nights.
According to a press release shared with Complex, the sold-out concerts, promoted by Live Nation and BookMyShow, officially became the largest rap shows ever held in India and the biggest single-artist concerts in Delhi’s history.
The record-breaking performances are part of Scott’s 2025 international leg of the CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR, which continues to dominate globally. Following the Delhi shows, Scott will perform in Seoul, South Korea; Sanya, China; Tokyo; and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, before returning to India for a third show at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on Nov. 19.
Originally launched in October 2023, the CIRCUS MAXIMUS WORLD TOUR has already become one of the most successful circuits in recent years, spanning 76 sold-out shows across North America, Europe, the UK, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. By its 2024 conclusion, the tour had grossed $209.3 million with 1.7 million tickets sold worldwide.
Scott’s international tour has not been without its challenges. During his October 11 show at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, the performance for over 70,000 fans started more than an hour and a half late, prompting fan speculation about Scott’s arrival. The rapper later clarified on social media that storms and lightning caused the delay, not tardiness.
