Kelvin Evans, the man accused of stealing Beyoncé’s unreleased music and tour plans, was arrested two months after allegedly breaking into her choreographer’s car in Atlanta. The stolen hard drives containing Beyoncé’s unreleased material have not been recovered.
Evans was taken into custody on September 16 in Hapeville, Georgia, for a parole violation. He was also charged with entering an automobile with intent to commit theft, according to Fulton County jail records.
According to People, investigators believe Evans stole multiple items from choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue’s Jeep Wagoneer on July 8. The car was parked in a garage at the Ayla apartments before Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta.
Investigators said the stolen items included flash drives with watermarked music, unreleased tracks, past and future set lists, and footage plans. Grant and Blue also reported missing laptops, suitcases, clothes, designer sunglasses, and headphones.
Security cameras captured the suspect using a 2025 Hyundai Elantra with Georgia plates during the break-in. Investigators traced the car to its owner, who said she rented it to family members. She said Evans, who is her uncle, promised to use it briefly but kept it for about 30 minutes before returning.
When he brought the car back, Evans allegedly told his niece to meet him at a relative’s home, where surveillance footage showed them unloading black bags. He later rode away on a bicycle after placing a bag in the trunk.
Evans is currently held at Fulton County Jail on a $20,000 bond. Records reveal a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2002, including arrests for armed robbery, aggravated assault, and previous car break-ins.
