Despite an almost eight-year hiatus from releasing new albums, Rihanna continues to command the attention of her devoted fanbase. Her last full-length album, “Anti,” has not only stood the test of time but has recently reached a significant milestone on the Billboard 200 charts—a feat unparalleled in her illustrious career.

This week, “Anti” celebrates an impressive 400 weeks (about 7 and a half years) on the Billboard 200, solidifying its place among the most-consumed albums in the United States. While the album is currently slipping in the rankings, moving from No. 123 to No. 127, its enduring presence on the chart speaks volumes about its lasting impact.

“Anti” holds the distinction of being Rihanna’s lengthiest-charting album on the Billboard 200, overshadowing her second-longest-charting record, “Good Girl Gone Bad,” by a substantial margin. The latter has accumulated 123 weeks (about 2 and a half years) on the chart, less than half of the endurance demonstrated by “Anti.”

Released to critical acclaim in January 2016, “Anti” quickly soared to the top of the Billboard 200, marking one of Rihanna’s two chart-topping albums.

The album’s success was fueled by its four hit singles, with the lead track “Work,” a collaboration with frequent partner Drake, clinching the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100. Subsequent singles, including “Needed Me” and “Love on the Brain,” also achieved top 10 status, contributing to the album’s enduring popularity.

While fans eagerly await new music from Rihanna, the remarkable longevity of “Anti” on the Billboard 200 underscores the enduring connection between the artist and her dedicated audience.
