Tyler Perry has officially put his Southern California estate on the market for $57 million.
The famed filmmaker, 57, is offloading his 24,592-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills after recently announcing his plans to relocate to Puerto Rico early next year. Perry’s nine-bedroom, 15-bathroom property is where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lived for a few months while transitioning out of their senior royal roles in 2020 and before they purchased their own property in Montecito.
Set on 22.5 gated acres, the estate features multiple private balconies and terraces that offer sweeping views of the surrounding canyons. According to the Wall Street Journal, Perry purchased the property for $4.3 million in 2004 and finished construction of his home in 2012.

Impressive amenities inside the Mediterranean-style abode include a 24-seat home theater, bar, entertainment lounge and game room in the upper level. Elsewhere in the home, there’s also a music hall, wine storage room and gym with a steam shower.
In the primary suite, a fireplace and an attached deck can be found, as well as a sitting room, walk-in closets, spa-like bath and “dedicated massage and salon rooms,” per the listing.
The outdoor areas boast a dazzling pool with extensive space for lounge seating. There’s also six garage and parking spaces offered on the property, along with a separate guesthouse with one bedroom and staff quarters.
Per WSJ, Perry also owns a sprawling home in the Atlanta area near the 330-acre studio set he built for Tyler Perry Studios, as well as a private island in the Bahamas. He also has a home in Jackson, Wyo., which he listed for $39.5 million in June.
His Beverly Hills listing comes weeks after Perry announced his plans to move to Puerto Rico with his 11-year-old son Aman, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Gelila Bekele, during an interview on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Monday, Sept. 14.
“Yep, moving to Puerto Rico at the top of the year, and I’m pulling back a whole lot,” he told reporter Justin Sylvester when asked if he ever plans to “chill out” in his career.
Perry, whose birthday was earlier this month, added that the desire to “slow down” has been getting stronger through the years.
“Getting older [inspired this],” he explained. “It’s time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in.”
