Renowned American rapper Meek Mill has stirred excitement among Ghanaian musicians by announcing a significant reduction in his song feature charges.

The artist, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, declared his readiness to collaborate for as low as $150,000, provided the artist has the funds ready and he resonates with the track.

Meek Mill disclosed this news via his verified Twitter account on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Despite his usual fee of $250,000 for a feature, he expressed a willingness to lower it if he finds the song compelling.

In a recent call with Ghanaian dancehall sensation Stonebwoy for a prospective collaboration, Meek Mill highlighted his flexibility in pricing.  “Every time I do a verse I charge 250k and up if you got 150k on sight and I like the song we can swap it outtt!!!!” He wrote on tweeter page

The rapper elaborated on his reasoning behind the reduced fee, emphasizing that some artists require additional platforms to elevate their careers, a void he believes he can fill.

With a massive fanbase exceeding 50 million and strong playlist presence on streaming platforms, Meek Mill aims to offer exposure and opportunities to emerging talents.

Meek Mill’s tweet ignited varied responses online, with some considering the initial $150,000 fee still steep. Moreover, there were discussions regarding the significant stream count required to offset the cost, particularly if the artist does not own the full rights to the song.
