Nicki Minaj’s “Last Time I Saw You,” the latest taste of what’s to come with her Pink Friday sequel, has been given a wide release following its initial debut on TikTok.
The song is the latest glimpse into what fans can expect from Nicki’s ‘Pink Friday’ sequel, out this November.
The new song follows Minaj’s recent Billboard Hot 100 hits “Super Freaky Girl” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” with the former scoring a Video of the Year nomination at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. In March, Minaj appeared to confirm that both tracks will be included on Pink Friday 2, which is currently set for a November release.
The song “Last Time I Saw You” is available on Spotify and Apple Music, respectively.
In total, Nicki Minaj is up for five potential awards at next month’s VMAs: Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Hip-Hop, Best R&B, and Best Visual Effects. The latter category is a particular genre-spanning one this year with “Super Freaky Girl” (featuring visual effects by Max Colt and Sergio Mashevskyi) nominated alongside visuals from Fall Out Boy, Harry Styles, Melanie Martinez, Sam Smith with Kim Petras, and Taylor Swift.
The original Pink Friday, with a legacy detailed by Complex in this 2020 retrospective, arrived back in November 2010 and has since been certified triple platinum by the RIAA.
