Dancehall artiste Popcaan returned yesterday with his annual Off to School Treat, spreading joy to the children within his native parish. The highly anticipated event that sparks excitement among parents and children every year was staged at Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay, St. Thomas.

For this year’s hosting of Popcaan’s Off-To-School Treat, Popcaan reportedly forked out nearly $8 million. Thousands of children were estimated to receive school supplies at the grand event.

At the end of the day, children and parents were treated to a live show from a slew of talented artistes, including 10Tik, Tarrus Riley, Shaqstar, Ching Ching Ching and others.

Scenes of the performances were shared online, showing the Unruly deejay and his performers surrounded by a large crowd of enthusiastic watchers, who were all cheering and singing along to different tracks.

The night featured deejays demonstrating their acapella abilities and performing popular songs. The stage also welcomed young boys to showcase their deejaying skills to the crowd, igniting cheers and laughter.

Amid the festivities, deejay Bazzle, who was once an inmate with Vybz Kartel, took shots at Alkaline by telling the children never to be influenced by lies to tattoo their eyes. Popcaan’s younger brother also performed at the event.
