Celebrated Ghanaian dancehall sensation Shatta Wale, has added two prestigious accolades to his impressive repertoire, emerging as a double winner at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), which took place in Florida, USA, over the weekend.

‎In a statement released by his management on May 18, 2026, the artist clinched the Best African Dancehall Entertainer award and also took home the Concert of the Year title for his highly acclaimed ShattaFest.

‎“The management of Shatta Wale is thrilled to announce that the African Dancehall King has emerged victorious with two awards at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards held in Florida,” the statement read.

‎The management team expressed gratitude to the award organizers for their recognition and ongoing support of African music on the global stage.

‎They also extended thanks to fans worldwide, particularly members of the Shatta Movement community, for their steadfast support, votes, and commitment over the years.

‎This latest recognition further solidifies Shatta Wale’s status as “one of Africa’s premier musical ambassadors and a significant influence in global dancehall culture.”

‎The International Reggae and World Music Awards, commonly referred to as IRawma, honors reggae and world music talent from around the globe.
