Ray J is back in a hospital bed, and fans are worried after his weekend celebrity MMA match took a dangerous turn.

According to TMZ, the 45-year-old singer and reality star, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., checked himself into a Las Vegas hospital on Saturday night, just two hours after getting knocked out in the cage. He has already spent a few days in the facility while doctors run a battery of tests to figure out exactly what is going wrong.

The medical team is currently checking Norwood for a concussion, but the even bigger concern is his heart. He is reportedly experiencing a dangerously slow heart rate, which is alarming given his recent medical history.

It all started at the UFC Apex during an event hosted by livestreamer Adin Ross. Norwood went up against YouTuber Supa Hot Fire, whose real name is Dewayne DeShawn Stevenson. In the second round, Stevenson landed a clean shot that sent Norwood sliding down the ropes and straight to the canvas. Norwood got up but was totally out of it, and the ref had to stop the fight right then and there.

While Norwood was busy complaining on social media after the match that things didn’t go according to plan and that he lost a ton of money, his body was clearly telling a different story.

This situation is interesting because Norwood was just fighting for his life in a hospital room back in January. He was admitted for severe pneumonia and major heart pain, later revealing to fans that his heart was only working at 25 percent capacity. He even went on social media claiming doctors told him he didn’t have much time left to live.

With Norwood back under medical supervision, everyone is asking the same question: why was he even allowed to step into a fighting cage with a severe heart condition in the first place?
