Paramount’s latest release, “Bob Marley: One Love,” has quickly become a sensation at the global box office, crossing the remarkable $100 million milestone within just 10 days of its premiere.
The musical biopic has amassed a total of $101.1 million worldwide, with a significant portion of $61.4 million originating from North American audiences and $39.7 million from 59 international markets.
Maintaining its stronghold in its second weekend, “One Love” retained its leading position in domestic charts, raking in $3.7 million on Friday alone. Internationally, the film continued its success, adding $3.3 million on Thursday and venturing into eight new markets over the weekend.
Debuting on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, “Bob Marley: One Love” exceeded initial forecasts by collecting $28.6 million over the standard weekend period and a notable $52 million during the extended six-day holiday span. Despite garnering mixed reviews from critics, averaging 42% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film received an enthusiastic “A” CinemaScore from early viewers. Notably, the production budget for “One Love” stood at $70 million.

Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the film offers an immersive exploration of Marley’s transformative journey, spanning from his influential tours in Africa and Europe during the mid-1970s to the genesis of his groundbreaking album “Exodus.”
